Surprises

Jordan and Jaylen started their new school year at their new charter school on Monday. Trisha surprised me with photos of them all dressed, and looking pretty, and ready to learn! Thank you Trisha, I love getting photos of our babies!

I came in from taking Zach for his doctors appointment yesterday and was greeted with a Happy Anniversary sign on the window and a clean house! Jerri had come by to watch Zach's sisters while we were gone and must have worked her butt off the whole time. Thank you Jerri!! Y'all be sure to click over and visit her, she's back to blogging again and full of stories about her funny babies.

I have been trying to take a decent photo of some of our woodpecker species for a couple of years now. Zach noticed this Downy(?) woodpecker on the service pole in the yard this morning so I ran to grab my camera. I had to take it through the glass of the storm door so it's not as sharp as I'd like, but I'll keep trying until I get a better one.,,,,some day.

Y'all don't forget the "Numbers" photo challenge on Saturday! Hop over to Karen's blog and leave a comment if you would like to join us.

We have two varieties of woodpeckers this year. I think one of them is a downy. But am not sure. They are fun to watch.

Cas
as always, your photos are wonderful.
I keep stopping by to see Jerri - and to comment, but her blog doesn't allow me to post a comment.

What beautiful girls you have! I miss the end of summer first-day-of-school anticipation...and the photo of being bathed in the sink sure brought back some memories.

that's a pretty good shot of the woodpecker...we only get to see and hear those when we go camping...I like the sound they make and how it echoes through the forest...

Nope it is a FLICKER... Downy's are small and black and white with a red stripe on the back of the males head.

Those DARLING girls are getting so BIG!!! Thank you Tricia for sending the picture to your Mom so she can post it.

Did Kat REALLY quit or is she just going through a phase?

Great photos - especially the sink bath shot - that was our oldest daughter's bath spot when she was a baby, brought back memories. ec

Jordan and Jaylen are so cute and I love hteir names. That woodpecker photo is great. I tried to get one of the woodpecker who thought our aluminum siding was wood. It would make the most awful sound when he tried to do his woodpecker thing on it. LOL
