Wednesday Mind Wanderings

Except for a little moaning and groaning, the Man has been a pretty good patient. I haven't made him scream even once while changing the dressing on his wound. Zach assisted me last night, but as soon as he saw a little trail of blood seeping out from the bandage I was removing, he decided he'd assist by touch, not sight. He's not even limping from his little accident in the tub and he went to Tae kwon Do last night, so, except for some bruises, he's fine.

I wish I'd had my camera while we were in the waiting area of the emergency room on Monday. There was this female patient, who I suspect was cracked out to the limit, who came out in a wheel chair, wearing one of those backless hospital gowns. It wasn't tied and was too big, so when she decided she'd get up and walk to the door to go outside to wait for her ride, the gown fell off and she just kept walking to the outdoors and stood on the sidewalk waiting,,,naked as a jaybird. Didn't seem to bother her one bit. I nearly peed myself laughing. I don't know what she was on but I wonder if I might need a little of it.

When we finally saw the emergency room doctor and he was apologizing for the wait caused by folks coming in that should be visiting a doctor's office instead, I told him about the show one of the patients put on for us in the waiting room. He laughed and told me that they should shoot a reality show there because there was always something wild going on.

It's raining again today and the weather folks are predicting severe thunderstorms tomorrow and tomorrow night. We really need some dry weather for a few weeks now, it's time to plant the crops and MY garden.

I hope everyone's having a great day!

I guess it's a good thing Zach didn't go to the ER with you, huh?
We're not looking forward to that rain, either. The rivers haven't gone down from the last big one.

First, I have to tell you that your music is G R E A T!!!! Love it!! Glad your husband is feeling better with your nursing help! That is a very funny story about the emergency room. I once applied for a job as one of those check-in clerks, but honestly I'm glad I didn't get it, I would have been fired for laughing too hard. They should film reality series there...

Good Morning Brenda,
I am feeling better and put up a new post this morning. I do hope that James' foot is doing much better. I read your previous' posts about what happened to his foot. I have always hated going to the ER as well. You have to stay in there forever and there are some wild and crazy people who come thru those doors. I bet that was a sight to see with the gown falling off that woman like that. I would have peed my pants for sure. LOL. My DH had already told me about the Mississippi River being way up around West Memphis and in Memphis. I seen on t.v. last week where the boats were just barely making clearance's going under the bridges. With all this other rain lately, the boats may not be able to get under the bridges now. We are already under a Tornado Watch untill 11:00a.m. this morning. That could be extended later on. There have already been some Tornado Warnings to the West of us this morning as well. It looks to be an active day and evening around here. I do hope that Zach is okay and feeling better after his fall in the shower. I know that had to scare you to death. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

After working midnight shifts in the ER as admitting clerk on weekends (many moons ago)not much would surprise me. I think your experience with the cracked out nude takes the cake though.

Glad your fellers are doing better!! :)
