Conferencing

I'll have to be on the road by 6 a.m. in the morning to drive to West Memphis to attend a 2 day IRS conference. I know ya'll can feel my excitement,, just don't let it put you to sleep, ok?

Zach will stay with his mom tonight and tomorrow night because PopPop decided he needed to work a couple of days this coming week. He started with his, "I don't know how I'll get Zach on the bus, what about his homework" whinings but I finally hushed him up with my "I don't expect you to be put upon for one damned thing, I've made arrangements for Zach's care." He then mentioned that he didn't know why I continued to work in the tax office every year and I was just too tired to remind him, again, that I am OUR tax person and that's a good reason for me to keep up with current tax laws and changes. It's also a good idea for me to keep a foot in the door in case he cuts a leg off on a cotton picker or something. It's also a good thing for me to be out of the house as much as possible during the winter when he spends so much time at home in order to prevent murder and mayhem around this place.

He should thank his lucky stars.

Anyhow, I'll be staying over on Monday night and will be back sometime late Tuesday, hopefully still retaining a little of the knowledge gained from my outing.

Yes he does need to count his blessings and it would not hurt him to take care of Zach - afterall he could be a role model.

Who said country gals were boring?

Good on ya Brenda for making arrangements for Zach before the excuses started. As for James, a friend of mine used to say "he can't help it, he's a man". I used to laugh but it's really not funny and not any one person is alike.

I hope along with your learning experience, you'll be able to relax and enjoy some Brenda time. Be safe. :)

my stepfather is working on retiring from his second career. However, after that he will work full time as a volunteer for the boy scouts. my mom said if that plan changes she will have to get a full time job that will keep her out of the house. you're right. murder and mayhem.

It would also be a good thing if you hit him with a shovel and buried him under your morning glories.

Just sayin'.

(How are you set up for life insurance? Just askin'.)

I love that comic - hilarious!!!
I like the leaves with the cursor, neat.
I agree with others, take this conference as some "me time."

Brenda, in your next life you will come back as a pampered woman. Just remember that! ;)

I hope you had fun since it got you out of the house and in the company of others! :)

Bless your heart! Sometimes those kind of seminars could be so boring!! We need someone well trained like you down here!! Last year we pretty much had to tell the lady doing our taxes how things worked and she STILL kept messing up! It is a miracle our taxes were filed right!

Did you notice there is a little garbage can on the left hand side of my comment "up there?" What's up with that? LOL. Was I talking ..trash?
