We've had chillins running around everywhere this weekend (not to be confused with Special K's chittlins). Jami and the girls and Jerri, Bubbie, and the Chicklets were here yesterday and today and it's been nice outdoors so the little ones have enjoyed that. The grown-ups enjoyed the little bit of quiet in between the times that the doors were banging open and closed too.
If ya'll felt an earthquake in North America today that was this Nanaw taking the ass first bounce down the deck steps. The howling noise came from my precious daughter with backup from the darling daughter-in-law because they thought this was very funny, especially since I hadn't dropped Jillian during the rumble with the stairs. There is so much loving concern in this family,,there really is. Jillian never stopped sucking her passy.
I went with James to his doctor's appointment yesterday and the spot on his bottom lip that he's seen the family doctor(who appeared not to be concerned) twice about, is cancer. They're planning on removing the cancer one day next week in office. I'll let you know how it turns out.
I decided today to give up on ever having the "Country Queen" title when Jerri came in with a snack of pickled pig's feet. Jami and I both agreed that she had a lot in common with the zombies from the Night of the Living Dead movie after watching her gnaw on that pig's foot.
Later on we had a delicious dinner of mixed greens, ham, turnips, stewed potatoes, purple hull peas w/snaps, and cornbread.
Ms Jillian had a few smiles for us today even though she's not been feeling too sporty the past couple of days after having a round of her baby shots. I think I see the clowning gene coming out in her already.

I have to admit that I've been around pickled pigs feet, but I've fought the urge to consume them. I've also seen pickled boiled eggs. I've avoided those , also. Let me know if I'm missing anything.
you ARE missing tons! Both eggs and feet (pickled of course) taste like vinager.....just dont think about em being feet and you are good to go lol! Easter eggs make GREAT colorful pickled eggs!
The only being that eats feet over here is my dog and he prefers chicken feet. LOL
I'm sorry to hear about James. Hopefully getting the spot removed will clear everything.

I, too, am sorry about James and hope for a successful surgery.
Pickled pigs feet - I just knew Jerri was my kind of girl. I used to eat them at my grandmother's house when I was a kid. Yummy!!
So, they laughed when you fell? Don't feel bad, "they" do it to me also. Or, if I tell Patti "I fell off the ladder" she'll say, "Oh no, did you break a nail?"
I'm sorry to hear about James. Hope everything goes well. I hope you're not too bruised today after your fall.
Ouch on the fall. And sorry to hear about the cancer. My Mother-in-law has those removed all the time and they should be able to take care of it quickly and successfully.
Pickled pigs feet???????
*runs away, in terror*
Nope, never had 'em...never will. DOes James Chew or use snuff? that tobacco is NASTY stuff. THe things it does to your body is wicked!!!!!
Is that Jami with the Hatchling?
Pickled pigs feet! Poor Piggy! No wonder he dashed out the door so fast. I've seen and heard of both but have never been tempted to try them. There's just something not very appitizing about the idea of eating pigs feet, and the only way I eat boiled eggs is to turn them into deviled eggs. Which I love by the way.
I hope the tumble down the steps was more embarrassing than painful. Especially since there was an audience and they quite amused. I'm sure Miss Jillian thought it was just another bumby ride!
My father-in-law had one of those lip cancers. His was removed and he never had anymore problems. I'm sure it will be the same for James. But just to be on the safe side, I'll light a candle for him.
Jilly is looking awfully sweet!
Can't say I've ever had a hankerin' for pig's feet. Just pass me the bacon, please.
We'll include James in our prayers with his lip cancer. It's always a scary when the doctor says the C word.
What are stewed potatoes, and purple hull peas/snaps? I'm thinking stewed potatoes would be what I call scalloped potatoes, but not sure. If you ate purple peas would that make you a purple pea --- eater?
All the best to James, I am sure he will be fine madear.
Now, I am gonna go down and see if I can get the word verification right. For some reason I keep spalleg et wronge.
Oh, you poor thing! I hope you didn't pull anything when you fell!
If you're like me, you will feel the pain in two days!
I will put James in my prayers tonight. I have had two cancers removed. One in my cheek and one on my arm. Both done in the office. The word scares the crap outa you.
That baby picture is priceless!!
Taking a dive while the littlest chicklet didn't even blink an eye is quite the feat. I bet you're hurtin' big-time time today.
I'm sorry to hear about James' scare. That's about the last thing anyone wants to hear from a doctor.
I can't even fathom putting a pig's foot in my mouth -- litter toes are about as gross as I can get *chuckle*
Pigs feet? Ick. Then again, we eat Scrapple here in Philly so who knows? I might have eaten a pig's foot or two.
And Jillian is a cutie!!
Oh yeah, Scrapple. My grandmother used to cook that also.
Bren, for some reason Ms. Jerri and I aren't hookin' up. I've sent two emails and they're being sent back!! Maybe cause she doesn't know who I am - I did, however subject - blog friend of Brendas or something like that!! Thanks.
