Photo Challenge - The Eyes Have It - March 21st

“The eyes are the mirror of the soul”

“You never know how you look through other people's eyes.”

“The eyes have one language everywhere”

Got those cameras ready? The new photo challenge topic, chosen by yours truly, will be "The Eyes Have It" on Saturday March 21st. Most anything is allowed; artistic or realistic. Use your imaginations and have fun!

I've always been fascinated with expressions and the eyes are the most expressive of all. A wonderful photo taken by National Geographic photographer, Steve McCurry, has stayed in my mind since the first time I saw it back in the early 80's. There was so much to see about the young Afghan girl by looking at her eyes.

Many of the photos that I take of our babies I've focused on their eyes and have ended up with some very pleasing shots.

Please go over to our photo blog, courtesy of Miz Donna, and follow her directions to sign up for this challenge. Grab those cameras and go out and have fun!!! Remember, it's in the Eyes!

Many thanks to Miz Cindra for all of the fun we had last time with her Photo Editing challenge topic!!

WOW, that picture is something else. You're so right about the eyes; it's the first thing I notice about people. You can tell SO much! That will be an interesting challenge. I sure wish my camera hadn't gone all wonky on me, and I don't even know where to take it. I may try to do something with some pictures I already have though.

I'm so glad you started the photo challenge Ms Brenda; it has become one of my favorite things to look forward to~seeing what everyone comes up with! :)

I'm ready for it! I've got one in my photo library that is perfect. I took some shots this morning that are promising. I have a goofy one to take yet too. Thank you for having these challenges because they are great fun and I've made wonderful friends!

Like you, I've always been fascinated with that picture and still remember the day I first saw it...her eyes are so haunting. Did you know that 17 years after that picture was taken, back in 1985, they found her again? I have the National Geographic Selections magazine that writes of it. She was only known as the "Afghan girl" for all those years since no one knew her name, not even the photographer. So, it was quite exciting when they found her again after all those years. I should make a post about it since I have the magazine right here beside me with all the latest pictures of her:) xoxo

This will be a fun one. I'll check my workload and see if I can squeeze it in...the distraction would be nice.

Have a great day ~

Yes I always loved that photo. Not too many years ago they went back and found the lady that they took the picture of. It was real neat to see.

I look forward to participating (for the first time!) in the photo challenge. Fun!!!
