Dirty Politics

I don't know who's going to win this Presidential election, but I know who's been winning the mud slinging contest going on in my email.

It's those "publicans.

Man, if I was Obama, and I did win the Presidency, I'd be surrounding myself with several linebackers and defensive ends; forget the secret service! Those 'publicans are gettin' down right nasty right there in my Inbox. It's gotten so bad that I have my nice 'n clean Electronic Cleaning Wipes handy each time I log on so I can clean off the barf and BS.

And you know? There hasn't be a'one that was bashing McCain.

Does someone know something I don't?

Maybe I don't want to know.

Anyhow, the way I see it, they're wasting their time here. And mine. I'm equally disgusted with the the whole lot of them uppiddy politicans.

(did I spell that right?)

I find politics to be unpleasant. I may be naive, but it seems to me that they should just keep talking about themselves, not their opponents.

I'm going to vote, always do, but I just don't like politics in general.

I voted last week and I was so proud to do so! (Go OBAMA/BIDEN) I took my best friend with me (she registered to vote b/c I kept after her). I do not care who you vote for, but please exercise the right. I agree..the attacks on Obama are getting quite ridiculous! Yet if ANYTHING negative is said about Gov. Palin, it's SEXIST...I find that to be a bit of a double standard. It's sometimes scary to support someone you feel you don't know alot about, but what I have found this election is that is even SCARIER to support the candidate you DO know. My suggestion is to quit reading the hate being spewed about the candidates and actually go out and do the research and support the candidate who more closely fits your needs and beliefs. BTW..it's me, Mom! Can't wait to see you at Thanksgiving!

I am going to vote; the problem is I'm sorta scared now of both those yahoo's. And, I understand what you're saying about the mudslinging, Ms. Brenda, but that other one just seems so self assured and cocky to me. It also bothers me that he has had tens of millions of dollars poured into his campaign - it scares me to think who they're from and what promises have been made. Well, we'll get what we get and have to live with it I guess.

((HUGS))

When I get one of those stupid ignoramous emails saying that O'Bama is a muslim, and will be the next anti-Christ if elected, I send them back a page from http://www.snopes.com
Then I think how sad it is that my friends are so ignorant. Come on, if he was the anti-christ, then he wouldn't need to be elected to do his stuff!
Grrrrr, don't get me started!
hehehehe I already voted, and so did my 92 year old neighbor. And the reason she wanted to register to vote is because of Palin! She does not like her!

I don't know who you are getting your e-mails from, but they sure aren't from me! And please don't go thinking badly and lumping all of the 'publicans together is some big pot, waiting for our whupping. I'm a proud, conservative Republican and I happen to be quite nice, thank you very much (with a southern curtsy)! For example, I don't hang effigies of political candidates in my yard and declare it art, LOL, like an extremist on the other side of the political spectrum. My-oh-my, I'd get arrested if I did that because somehow the standard is different! It's really all too hard for me to understand how there are different rules for different people. But I digress...

I don't agree with Obama's platform and ideas on how he will change this nation, nor do I believe he has one bit of meaningful experiences in political office or life, for that matter, to assume this leadership role. That's it in a nutshell for me. This is my opinion, based on my values and research of the issues. So, I hope that you aren't suggesting that 'publicans like me can't disagree on how this nation should be led and that I need a whupping from some football players for my viewpoints.

I don't even watch television and will be so glad when this is over.

I get very little political e-mail (most people know me better than that), but across the blogosphere I am SOOOO tired of "barbed" comments. Posts nothing to do with politics slipping in a completely inappropriate jab at someone or another...

Really, what's the point?

I usually end up voting "publican" because of the moral issues that they support and their policies which support business and stimulate our capitalistic economy. But I'm sick of the emails as well. I'm not ashamed of being republican, but I respect your right to vote your conscious based on your beliefs and research.

Please don't whup me!!

Whoa, I meant Obama might need linebackers to protect him from some of the over-zealous McCain email spammers. There's been some really, REALLY ugly stuff coming to my inbox.

You're so cute - 'publicans - HA! "(did I spell that right?) - HA! You make me laugh!

Take care - Kellan

Donna said...

Well, give some sugar to your 'publican friends then! Glad to know that we're not included in the bashing party, LOL. Nighty night!

I've noticed the same thing Brenda and some of those things are so disgusting. It's a very sad thing that they can't stick to the issues and have to resort to that kind of thing.

I vote the candidate and very seldom a straight ticket... I am always jumping sides. I will admit that most times I vote Republican. I have to say I am appalled at both sides and all politicians. I think they are all, all about themselves. They have no clue how we live or what our concerns are.
As for elections, I think this running for office for years at a time has got to stop. I think we need to limit it 3 months at most. Talk about polarizing our country... I have to believe that this constant election mentality is part of the problem. Let's spend our time working on our problems and solving them, not running for office.
