Stuff

I received beautiful Christmas cards from family and friends (many from dear blog friends), some comfortable pjs, a whole bunch of delightful, delicate, hummingbirds for my collection, a new camera bag, a new scented candle, a new scarf that's so soft I wish I had a blanket like it, and I've ordered my satellite internet and the install dude should be here Thursday afternoon to get it going. I think the most precious gift was being with family. Trish and her girls will be here Friday and that will make my holidays complete. I was able to see Jordan and Jaylen for a short time on Saturday as they came with my sister when she visited, but they were busy playing so it was hugs and a kiss then off they went to hang with the other kids.

It's 9:22 pm and Zach has been in his room, supposedly cleaning it, for over 9 hrs today. What makes a child drag a chore out like that? He hasn't even been able to play with his new toys because he hasn't finished with his room. I'm past ready to hang him by his feet from a tall tree!

I went into town today and ran up on a bargain that Jerri told me about so I've got a head start on 2 of the 2007 birthdays coming up, at 50% off, can't beat that with a stick!

We had a really fine Christmas dinner, the ham was lean and sooo good, fresh green beans, chicken and cornbread dressing, gravy, mashed taters, some more of that broccoli casserole (my son loves it), some Banny-made, fabulous, bread pudding with a delicious sauce, a strawberry trifle (without the puddin, cause Jami didn't follow the directions for preping it, ha!), a pumkin pie, and delicious brownies (also Banny made).
