Stormy Saturday, Cool and bright Sunday

It did a bit of blowing yesterday while we were gathered here to have ice cream and cake with Miz Krysten who had her 8th birthday. Her sisters, Abby and MeriKate, were very pleased that they could help her eat some of that delicious birthday cake and ice cream. It was a pretty good day even though the lights went out a little after noon due to the straight line winds and didn't come back on until almost 9pm last night.

Today we cooked a mess of fine vittles (pork shoulder, collard greens, crowder peas, and cornbread), played outside for a little while, and played a few games of Phase 10. Zach, the Chick, and Jillian didn't mind a bit that it was about 20 degrees cooler.

Here are the photos of the little Halloween tree that Blogger wouldn't cooperate with yesterday.

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

I love a good Autumn storm!! I'm sure you had fun with games while the power was out.
You have a fun life with all the kidlets! Full of love. You are giving them some great memories with their g'ma!
You are a good person, Brenda!

You have such beautiful grandbabies!
I can't believe our power didn't go out with the storms we had here on Friday and Saturday.
Cute Halloween decoration!

The photos are of the kids are great, as always. But my favorite is the grubby little-boy hand holding the frog (or is it a toad?). It kinda pulls at my heartstrings.

It was really windy here today and we were supposed to get thunder storms but they didn't happen...we did get some rain but just mostly high winds. Love the pictures, the kids are so darn cute! Also love your Halloween tree, it's adorable...especially love the little ghosts on it:-)
