For this I'm thankful

I was able to roll out of bed this morning and after a cup of aged coffee went outdoors to give my porch plants a drink. I stooped and picked up the dozens of toys and lawn chairs that have to be gathered up every time the yard needs mowing, washed 3 loads of clothes, swept up Ya-Ya's mess of bird seeds that he tosses out most nights, and gathered up all the jars and ingredients to make "pickled okra with a kick".

Now the okra is in jars, which I hope are in the process of sealing, cartoons are blaring from 2 tvs, and I'm wondering if I can get a nap in this afternoon cause it's supposed be near 'bout a hundred outside today.

Damn that is hot. We've got hot and humid going on over here. Hopefully it goes away soon because humid sucks.

We don't get much okra here in Pennsylvania. they say that the season's too short.

Any more, I wonder.

At the new house I'm moving to in Maine I will have lots of rhubarb. I may have to learn things to do with it... I don't even remember what it tastes like it's been so long since I've tried to eat any!

I read all that and got tired just reading it!

Oh busy bee:-). That Okra looks yummy, even though I've never had it pickled. Only fried or cooked in stews or Cajun things..

Like the new look - its wild!

The list from Wal-mart, I'm laughing out loud its so funny!

Wow that is a lot of water - be safe driving through that, I think I would have turned around.

As for Paisley, I think it is a pretty name, but do you think the child would get teased?

What gives it the kick?

Cayenne pepper gives it the kick. I only eat my okra fried or boiled so I kick it up for Bubby and James.
