I went with Jerri to take Beans to see a doctor at Arkansas Children' s Hospital yesterday and I must say, that child acted like a little angel the whole day! She's the little mischief Queen but she held the urges in check and cooperated every step of the way. It made her Momma and Nanaw proud.
Resident and Surgeon prodded and poked on her for what seemed like forever but she never whined, only winked at her Momma whenever she was feeling nervous. After their exams it was decided that she has what appears to be a cyst. Since it is almost directly under the nipple of her left breast, and has grown larger over the last few weeks, and hasn't responded to treatment, they're going to remove it on January 30th. Alexis has an appointment with an ENT specialist on the 29th (she keeps tonsillitis and ear infections) so they'll go up then and stay overnight to be there early for Bean's procedure the next day. That part worked out well.
I think everything is going to be ok.

Aww I'm glad it's only a cyst and little Bean was such a good girl! I'm probably not so good when people are poking and prodding me!
Good news! At least the adults are relieved...poor Beans is probably a little distraught about the "removal"...you'll have to set her up with an extra scoop of ice cream or something!
Glad to hear all went well.
Awww, well its all good news thankfully, removal is probably very simple, altho traumatic for all involved.
She will deserve a special surprise when its over!

I'm glad everything is going to be okay! She sounds like she was a very brave girl.
Aww poor little kid. But what a trooper she is!
Poor sweetie...it must be big to have it surgically removed instead of letting it disolve on its own...Just give her lots of Sugars and hugs....hughugs
Good site. I am originally from NE Oklahoma. Found you on Off her cork.
All Right!!I am so glad it went well. I love that hospital. They saved my grandbabys life when she was two weeks old.
Sounds like she will be okay. I think it's so cute that she will wink.
