I caught a glimpse of the sunrise peeking through the trees this morning and picked up my camera to record the glowing beauty of it. It only lasted for a few short minutes before clouds rolled in and turned everything to a winter gray.
Since December 22nd I've been joyfully watching as the hours of daylight increase a little each day. Today will be 1 minute and 25 seconds longer than yesterday and I hope I don't waste a second of it.

beautiful photos and wise words!

These are beautiful shots and a nice reminder to seize the day, breathe deeply and appreciate things. Last night I was admiring the full moon, but I can't seem to get up early enough these days to catch a sunrise! I've randomly tagged you for a little photo adventure if you want to participate...it could be quite interesting! :)
What beautiful shots. I'm pleased to see the days growing longer. The short, grey days can be a bit depressing.

Thanks for sharing your photos.
Gorgeous shots! It's gonna be 40 below C. here tonight. A nice night to blog and forget the world.
We actually had sunshine most of the day here, a miracle! But I enjoyed your sunrise photos immensely! Thank you for sharing.
I'm counting those extra minutes of daylight right along with you.
Love your sunrise photos. I'm always running late in the mornings and never get to capture a sunrise. I did catch a few sunset pics tonight so maybe I can get them up sometime soon! I am so happy that the days are getting longer. Its so exciting to be able to have a few minutes of daylight when I get home from work.
Gorgeous! Such beauty touches your heart and soul.
Wonderful pictures sweetie! Great sunrise...hope you got some rest!!hughugs
You mean the sun really DOES still exist? Could not prove it here. We are sposed to have 5 days of SUN but the FOG rolled in right in front of the rain, and now we can see nothing!
What a beautiful sunrise! But it lasts only some minutes!
I tried to give up smoking so many times in the past 30 years, at leat 6 or 7 times, but 8 months is a rather long time for me to quit. I hope this was my last attempt (at least until I'm 70! :)
Have a nice day Brenda! Hugs, Maria
Beautiful shots. I love sunrises! And I've noticed it's staying a little lighter each day also. In fact the other day I had to call my hubby around 6pm just to tell him that it wasn't totally dark at that time anymore. Yea!!! You are like me you need the sun. LOL
Those are beautiful pictures. I am partial to sunrises and sunsets! I have some nice ones myself. I am glad, too that the days are getting longer. Makes getting through winter bearable when you know that every day brings a little more daylight!
Beautiful Brenda! It's been delighting me that even though I come out of work to 17 degrees there's a bit more light in the sky each day.
