Ok, I watched this Presidential debate all the way through. I didn't get so angry and frustrated during the first 5 minutes, as I did in the 2 other debates, that I turned the TV to the Vagina channel (for new readers, that's the LifeTime channel in other households). I gritted my teeth and hung in there to the end.
So, I've almost decided who I'm going to cast my vote for in the Presidential elections. But it's not firm, written in permanent markers, or cast in cement. I could still change my mind (and probably will at least a dozen times).
Alrighty then, that's done for now.

Can you believe I totally forgot to watch! When you make up your mind, pls send me an email and I'll vote for whoever you do - I trust you more than myself. :)
isn't it something how these debates can raise the blood pressure? i am going to be so happy when november 4th is here....:) (well....hopefully) lol

It was a good debate. I had no idea you were still on the fence! I think the differences in platforms and messages are vast. I voted yesterday, as soon as the early polls opened in my county. Now, I will bite my fingernails down and worry about whether this country is going to be turned upside down. Best wishes to you, my friend, and your thoughtful deliberances!
Haha! The vagina channel. I haven't heard that one before, cracked me up. Good luck with your decision, I thought this debate was better then the others but I didn't watch the whole thing.
Alrighty then -
Me too - ditto!
Have a good afternoon, Brenda - Kellan
Yeah, I wasn't so angry over this one either. Don't know if I'm just getting used to the routine or it wasn't as bad. hehe. Like most people I too will be so glad when it's over. Whoever wins is going to have their hands full.
I just wanted to let you know that I have an award for you over at my blog! heehee!
I started out 6 months ago Sort of riding the fence...just "crusing"...Then things started heating up...
1. I will NOT loose the freedoms I have left...
2. Yes, I'm a business owner...and I do NOT believe in having the Government telling me I have to "spread it around" to the coke dealers, people who will NOT work...people who have Choices to make, people who have decided it's not worth their while to get a job, people who do Not pay their taxes....
3. We are a plumbing family...we are NOT RICH...there are 3 families living off our company...Then there are our employees(office & laborers) who we pay 100% of their HMO...The plumbers that work for us are Union and have their own insurance...We're "family"! We will watch our tax rate increse to 37% if BO wins...God help us!
4. I want a President that has Integrity...cares about Who he associates with...Listens to (for Years) in church, sermons, with such hate in his message, it would curl your hair! You KNOW BO has not walked away from that, unaffected.
5. Our Very way of life is about to change.
I don't have the answers...but I DO know that we're voting McCain/Palin...I have faith in them both to get in the Whitehouse and kick out the bums...there's too many secrets surrounding OB...and WHY Won't they release his HS and college transcripts? Tiny little "don't add up" things...I simply do not trust him.
Happy researching Miz Brenda...
I have to admit, I totally agree with Donna. There is something to be said for integrity. And honesty. And experience. Good luck with your decision, Brenda!! And by the way, I love the vagina channel too!
I hope you manage to decide before I do.
But it's good to see that I might not be the only one standing in line to vote, and not be sure which one gets my vote.
I absolutely abhor the politics of politics....I do not approve of finger pointing and mud slinging as a campaign tactic. I think we are in need of a major overhaul in nearly every area...how sad is that! I usually turn a deaf ear to promises made...just give me the bottom line and then do it...I know who I'm voting for because I believe very strongly that we need a change...as risky as change can be...look where following the same agenda has led...but if you really can't with good conscience fall on one side of the fence...feel free to pencil in your favorite celebrity...maybe we can afford to spend what's left of our 401Ks on watching movies about how it use to be in the good old days and at least someone will get the benefit of it.
One liberty and justice for all...
Can you believe I didn't watch the first part of the debate? I recorded it, though. And I had planned to go back and watch it at my leisure. Then my husband called me from Colorado and practically forced me to tune in so we could "watch it" together. So much for relaxing. lol
I thought the debate went pretty well. You already know where I stand, so I won't go into that here.
Like Joni said, I too am sick of the mud slinging, etc., but I have to say...if the main stream media refuses to bring up some issues that actually DO matter, then I think it's incumbent upon the candidates to bring it up. We SHOULD be informed. I think it's more the media that's the problem in these elections than it is "mud slinging politicians". I think the media should be held accountable and should be reporting facts as facts rather than "opinions" as facts. Too much is riding on this. Have you noticed that even the various "fact check" organizations can't agree on certain things? How in the heck can you misinterpret a fact? Nevermind...forget I asked. :)

Where you is? And, to answer your comment, Hunter and I are two peas in a pod. I run through the sprinkler nekkid with her. hahhaha
Wow, how interesting I(Wanda) should stop by today just in time to get in on this discussion?
Those who know me (or rather remember me and my rants last election(I TOLD y'all "W" was gonna be a disaster!)) will probably be shocked to hear me say I'll be voting for McCain/Palin too. Not only do I think he's the BEST man for the job, but I sincerely think Obama scares the bejeezets out of me. There is just something 'not right' about him.
By the way has anyone seen the movie "W" yet? We're on the fence about spending our few $$$'s on it. We think we'd rather see The Secret Life of Bees.
Hope everyone's having a great fall!!

You know, Brenda, I don't mind people disagreeing with me about who they think is the best choice for our country. I want to assume that everyone has put serious thought into it. But when I see people say that they are afraid of one of the candidates, I have to ask "where did that fear come from"? That distresses me more than anything I can say.
Where does that fear come from? Who stoked their fear? Are their memories of the eight years of Clinton so frightening?
I think both candidates are honorable men who will do their best for this country. I urge everyone to vote for the candidate who best reflects their hopes and aspirations for this country. That is our solemn obligation.
Vote for your candidate. If you're afraid of one of the candidates, then stay home. If you distrust our political system that much that you actually are afraid, you're too ignorant to vote and you do a disservice to the rest of us who feel it is our responsibility to work with whomever is elected to make this country work better.
I'm sorry, Brenda. Here I go hijacking your blog once again to preach. I just want people to vote FOR their choice.
It's like McCain said in an ad played today: "These past 8 years haven't worked out so well, have they?" Then let's vote for the same people with the same philosophy and have 4 more years of the same.
My people say the definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results.
You people go ahead and vote for Republicans. Go ahead and keep your states at the lowest level among the states for poverty, insurance for children, amount spent on education, (I can go on, and you know it.)
It's not that the Democrats are better, but for goodness sake, look at how poorly everyone has been served these past 8 years. You honestly are that afraid of Obama becase he's a Democrat, or is it his color? You tell me. And tell me how badly you suffered during Clinton's adminitration that you're that afraid of Democrats.
I'd like to hear your opinion. Really.
