Things have been slow around here.

I'm just dragging slowly through the days. School starts on Monday so we have school clothes and shoes bought and ready, and a few of the school supplies that we know he'll need, the rest I'll get tomorrow after I attend the open house at school tonight and get a list of other things the teacher expects him to have. I hope to meet his teacher tonight so I can schedule a conference with her as soon after school begins as possible. I have to stay ahead of what he's doing and what's expected of him in order to shave off a little of the stress that homework brings us.

The temps are in the mid-90's today so that's almost a cool spell compared to the 100 to 103 temps we had prior. It's been smothery outdoors and it makes for a cranky moments when I've had to be out for any length of time.

Bubbie's doing better every day but I'm thinking Jerri is already praying for his return to work as soon as it's medically possible. Lordy I believe if a man ever had to give birth it'd be the end of civilization cause they'd never handle the pain involved.

Ok, I'm outta here to get supper going and put away the laundry. Hope everyone is having a great week!

I am so glad I dont have to worry about that anymore. Tim and homework were a real chore! Tim and any form of school was a chore. I was so happy when he graduated. A not sure he would until I heard the superintendant say he certified every person at the ceremony was officially graduated! WHEW!!!

Good luck Ms. Brenda!! Plan yourself a trip after school starts!! COme on up here, the house is actually clean right now!

I'm so glad my boys are grown and I no longer have to go through the hassles of school:-) It's really cooled off here, only in the 60's today and I'm so enjoying it after the heat we had this summer!! Take care!!

Just the calm before the storm, I'm sure.

School started here last Friday! Seems like it starts earlier every year. Possibly due to their missing some last year with the hurricane weather.

I'm so glad Bubbie is doing better! :)

The starting of school always signals cooler weather to me. My grand here in Texas started this last Monday. Back in S. C., the grand there started last Tuesday. Hope everything has cooled just a little when we get home. ec

We are having very reasonable temps here, thank u jebus! I hope it rains this weekend so Gord won't make me kill myself in the patio pit..pray for me.

Our schools open the day after labour day weekend, but I see all the mom's shopping for school supplies already.

Kim agrees with you. If men had to give birth there would be about 2,000 people on the planet. I couldn't argue.

I'm glad Bubba is doing well, but sorry for poor Jerri. And yes if men had to give birth civilization would have ended eons ago, hee hee.

Today was our first full day of school. I was exhausted before it ever began, because there is so much preparation to be ready for the students. Hope he has a great year.
