Getting in the Mood for Christmas

Can you sense my enthusiasm?

Zach's already been in trouble for getting into things he shouldn't. He slipped into my little office the other night and unboxed one of his games (opened up the shipping package mind you) and was getting ready to have a go at playing with it when I went in to check on him. I almost gave him what for after I finally caught him. I reckon it's time I got busy wrapping some of this stuff but last year I noticed little peek holes in all the packages under the tree. (Wonder how those got there?)

I realize this is the sort of behavior expected of kids around Christmas time but dang, my son was so good he could unwrap the present, play with it awhile, then wrap it back up and I never knew until he told me about it after he could safely avoid a whipping. (I believe that was when he passed the 6ft mark). Zach did not inherit the snooping talent.

I'm having thoughts about wrapping everything in colored duct tape. It would take dynamite to make a peek hole through that!

Booby-trap the gifts with dye. If they peek, they end up looking like a smurf!!

JESUS CHRIST HAS REMOVED HIS BLESSING FROM AMERICA BECAUSE OF THE AMERINAZIS. THIS HAPPENS WHEN A COUNTRY BECOMES SO THOROUGHLY CORRUPT THAT IT BEGINS VIOLATING THE LORD'S LAWS FLAGRANTLY. AMERICA'S LAST HALF DOZEN WARS HAVE BEEN WAGED PRIMARILY TO BOOST A PRESIDENT'S APPROVAL RATINGS. THOSE ARE UNJUST WARS, AND EVERYBODY KILLED IN THEM IS A MURDER VICTIM. PLUS, LOOK AT WHAT A DEN OF THIEVES THE AMERICAN MARKETPLACE HAS BECOME. AMERICA IS SOON TO BE TOPPLED, MUCH THE SAME AS THE FIRST NAZI NATION, GERMANY, WAS WHEN THEY WENT TOO FAR. MARK MY WORDS. http://www.mixposure.com/song.php?songid=14027.

AND BE A MAN. POST THIS COMMENT.

Duct tape - now that is a good idea. Maybe you wrap up toys he already has OR wrap up "girl stuff" and hide the real presents and then if he peaks he will be "real disappointed" until Christmas. LOL! At least he would be really surprised Christmas day!

Funny! Reckon you & I both have something in common... posting funny stuff!

Still no Christmas spirit here... even with the ground covered in a blanket of snow, it's so aggravating!

Maybe the day before Christmas, when I'm alone in the house, I'll get the holiday spirit and not be a louse. No promises though, OK? LOL

I guess with a truck, there's no hiding them in the trunk, is there?

And you still don't go around peeking????? Kids will be kids.

Why that little sneak!! Soon the kids will be climbing the walls in excitement.

I'm still trying to get into the swing of it all, but have failed miserably. Perhaps after I get the tree up..

I'm betting if it could be done, Zack could do it! I know my Zach could.

Love that list. I'll pass on the buggers, cow pies and stinky farts. Come to think of it, maybe I'll just pass on it all.

LOLOLOL I never peeked either...But I learned to disguise my kids gifts, I wrapped them in lots of tape, and in plain boxes. My kids both know to not get excited when you see the box, it might not be the right one.

So who is the whacko up there? I am surprised it did not set Wanda off!! ;)

i am going to nanaws this weekend and wrapping up dirt, rocks sticks and other delightful goodies so that when he sneaks another gift off he will not only be disappointed but will have a huge mess to clean up LMAO

i always peeked, and was then depressed on christmas because i had no surprises to open.

so, at our house, there are NO packages under the tree until christmas eve night after the kids go to bed. we keep them hidden until then. this year the hiding is easier, we have an outside storage room that requires a key to get into. and there are only 2 keys, one on each of our keyrings. not foolproof, but hell.. we're trying.

Hey, I missed the whacko! Reckon I shoulda read the comments eh?
All I'm gonna say is, there is a price to be paid for freedom of speech. Putting up with 'whacko opinions' is just one of them.

HOWEVER, I did check out his blogs and I have to say I'm highly offended by one of them. Somehow I think most of us would be.
