Guard Bird

Ok, so he's not going to jump on someone and take a hunk outta their leg for messing with my property, but he does let me know when someone has pulled up in the drive, or is out in the yard. He can hear the school bus coming a mile away and lets me know that our Zach coming home. He's also a good teacher cause as soon as all the grandkids figure out that what he's doing to his perch and toy is not "playing", he'll save us that talk about the birds and the bees.

And he's also a damned good alarm clock!

I love birds! He's a cutie patoody! He looks like a Love Bird.

I used to have a budgie named Pecker (appropriatley named). I taught him to talk, I sure miss that little guy. He would imitate anything at all, my laugh, the squeeky bathroom door...what a hoot he was.

My bird only said one word. DING! DING!! We kept him in the living room, and he only picked up the DING from the DING DONG of the grandfather clock!

what a handsome fellow.

cockatiels are special little birdies. Not always the brightest, but definitely sweet as pie and cuddly. and i LOVE listening to them whistle and chatter. Especially their "greeting the sun" whistling routine. I would love to catch it on video some time.

I love the way they smell. sort of like cinnamon and baby powder

I have one too - noisiest thing out there aren't they!

Mine makes every bird noise he hears, except cockatiels. I have never heard him make a cockatiel tweet!

Silly thing.

He also loves the dog and cuddles.

Nice blog!
