TWO Days of Hell

Day 14 without the satellite internet. The past 2 days I was on the phone with HughesNet customer support (which provides very little support), their contracted repair companies, and finally, long distance to HughesNet corporate headquarters in Maryland, or Maine, whereverthehell they are. Anyway, frustration kept mounting and mounting so that at one point they made me cry so hard that I had to throw up.

Never, in my life, have I ever been so lied to (and lied about,,,at one point yesterday, one advanced tech dude told me the Tuesday morning appointment to repair my satellite had only existed in my mind!), been switched here, switched there, and always have to start back at the beginning with some partial English speaking person in some foreign land far, far, away.

Maybe, maybe, someone will be out this afternoon to do the repair. Maybe. He said he would.

SO, since I'm still doing without the $59.99 per month service that HughesNet religiously charges to my credit card every month,

F*** YOU HughesNet customer service
F*** YOU T.B. Consulting Service in Monroe, LA (who's only requirement for their employees to work there is having an ability to lie your ass off!)
F*** YOU Perfect 10 Distributing in Little Rock, AR (who, also fulfills the lying requirements needed to do contract work for HughesNet)

My icemaker also went on the blink and we had to buy a new one.

I made an April 1st appointment to have a CT scan done of my left thigh at a diagnostic clinic in Memphis. I was shocked at what they told me, take the insurance companies, the admin hospital fees, the padded charges, out of the equation, they said the scan will cost me $230 and that includes the radiologists fees. Our local hospital (meat market) said the charges for the same scan would be between $1500 and $2000 and that did not include radiologists fees.

I sure hope today is going to be a good one and that yet another repair tech didn't tell me yet another lie.

Good Afternoon Brenda,
I'm so sorry you are still having problems with your Satellite and Internet Providers. You know, I wouldn't even pay them for a month. I know they would probably disconnect you if you didn't tho. You might consider finding another Satellite and Internet provider. Several years ago we had Satellite Services thru Hughes and we finally just dropped them and went back to regular cable. I do hope this other guy comes out for you today. I'm glad you were able to find a cheaper rate for your Medical treatment. I tell ya, some of these rates these days are just outrageous. It makes it so hard on the poor folks to even live these days. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

It's SO frustrating trying to talk to liars. I'm sorry you've having to go through this.

Not surprised, though, at the difference in the medical costs. Those escalated prices from the hospitals are such a rip-off!! Ohhh, don't get me started. :)

Oh jeeze Brenda, that's horrible. Is there another satellite company you can use? It's crazy in this day and age people cannot get decent internet access.

Andie Pandie said...

Oh and can you report them to the BBB?

Geesh Brenda, why the hell don't you have DISH or DIRECTV or something that isn't an arm an a leg and WILL stand behind their name?

Shoot fire, I pay $54.00 a month and have DISH Network, broadband (DSL) and enjoy it all.

OMG, I can't believe you got Harry Hindi to rant with too. Read my post about Tech Support for my laptop. (laughing hard). We really need to get together and give these places a good ass rakin'. The term rip them a new A double S hole, comes to mind. (said in lady like fashion, grinning big the whole time) :D

I am so glad to see that someone has finally given a BAD review to a company on their blog! So many times, people are afraid to actually tell the truth about a company. I totally agree with you. They NEVER forget to take the money out of your account now do they???? I sure hope you get some relief ASAP!! And I'm glad you were able to get your test at such a low cost. Insurance rates are the pits right now...

If it's not one thing it's another isn't it? I know how frustrating it can be living in the boonies away from the everyday tech things. My DSL is through cable and it costs me that much too and is not even that fast!

I guess this is one of those good news/bad news things eh?
My inlaws have been talking about getting HughesNet for their internet, I'm so glad I read this. I will advise them to think about it a bit harder and longer.
That is great news about the cheaper rates for the medical treatment. I'll have to look into that. I had to make a visit to the ER last Friday night. We got the bill on Tuesday...it was OVER $1100!!! Can you imagine? I was stunned. Over a thousand dollars to sit in the waiting room for over an hour, see a doctor for LESS than 5 minutes, a nurse for less than 15 minutes, one bag of saline and some kind of pain medication. I almost went into shock just opening the bill. We sent the payment out two days later. We have as of today received FOUR demands for payment from them. When I called to tell them we ALREADY paid the bill, the lady says..."I'll look into it..." Grrrrrrrrrr. These people are unbelievable!
Hope you have your satellite/internet problems all resolved by now.
