That March Lioness

It started snowing around 10 am yesterday but didn't start accumulating until around 1. It was still looking blizzardish when I went to bed last night around 10 so we woke up this morning to about 6 inches of the white stuff. The kids are happy about it, Zach was up bright and early this morning with big plans for playing outdoors all day. There will be many melting puddles of snow at the front and back doors before this has all thawed. I think it's supposed to be near 60 degrees tomorrow so the puddles will be mud ones by then.

The ultrasound turned out to be worrisome. The lump/mass/whateverthehell it's called isn't old Arthur but some sort of abnormal fibrous tissue, so I've got to think on what to do next. I can't get health insurance coverage, so no matter what's to be done, I'll have to see how much wheeling and dealing can be done about the prices of these things (CT scan and /or biopsy). Another option is to wait 2 or 3 months and have another ultrasound to see if anything has changed. Sometimes I think the Healthcare crisis is the government's way of keeping the population under control, if truth in advertising were to be followed, "Don't cover em, kill em, or worry em to death", would be the motto for all health insurance ads.

Well, I'd best stop typing (and watching the birds fighting at the feeder through the window) because the kitchen is a mess, there's laundry to be done, and floors to be vaccumed.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Brenda, can I come over and do my laundry too? I can make us some margaritas! Not now of course since it's early, unless it looks like it's going to be one of those days. LOL

We have a foot of snow and are under a Level 2 snow emergency. It's currently a blizzard outside. Good times.

I hope the medical offices will be cutting you a deal to do whatever test you need. Because you know they really jack up the price to the insurance company.
It's never comfortable to know there's something going on in your body that's not supposed to be there. I'll be thinking about you.

Brenda,

oh goodness I'm sorry about the insurance thing - you should really look into your state agencies, they probably have some assistance for people without health insurance, reduced rates and the like.

DON'T just wait a few months and see if it goes away, there are a lot of options for those of us without health care, they just have to be ferreted out.

And I agree with Jazzi, many medical offices, as a portion of their clients, are non-health insurance, check that avenue out as well.

Good luck!

Good Morning Brenda,
I'm glad to see you are back online. We didn't get to move this weekend because we got Snow as well. It started here Friday morning around 11:30a.m. and they let School out around 12:15p.m. My DH made it home from Memphis around 3:30p.m. Him and the girls tried making a Snowman, but it was too wet of a Snow. They even tried yesterday as well, but didn't have much success. I'm guessing we got around 5 or 6 inches here. When I went to bed Friday night around 7:00p.m., it was still Snowing. I don't know what time it finally quit. I know the flakes weren't big, but it was a heavy snow with limited visibilities. Most of it melted yesterday afternoon tho. There is still a bit outside this morning but it will melt later today as the temperatures are to get near 50 degrees and we are to be in the 60's by mid-week. Don't worry yourself too much over the abnormality. I have alot of Fibroyid tumors in me and I haven't had them taken out. I sure hope you can get a deal with the test you need tho. The Government is plum crazy and they don't care about anyone but themselves. As long as they are getting paid the big bucks and have everything of theirs paid for, that's all they care about. I sure wish those high-falootin' people could walk a month in our shoes and then maybe, just maybe, they would change things. I have put up some pictures of our girls out in the Snow yesterday on my post today. We didn't get to move this weekend but if the weather co-operates we will this coming weekend. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Wow! Snow - I can only hope for some - we did get a few flakes one evening a month or so back but nothing stuck. Hope the abnormal growth situation works out for your good. ec

My thoughts are with you, Brenda...hope you can figure out the health insurance mess. Don't they have some sort of state insurance program for the uninsured? My daughter doesn't have any health insurance and gets very frustrated with the whole health care disaster! Don't think our snow will be gone til June!

Oh yikes. I'll be thinking about you.

We got a bit of snow yesterday on top of the old snow. But today looks glorious and sunny, so hopefully we'll get rid of some of it!
