The Day After

I hope everyone had a great Easter!

Here, things were a little out of whack and it didn't seem like the usual Easter holiday, not that any of them have a whole lot over the past many years, but this year even more so. Sometimes I think I'll just stop having expectations and be done with trying to do a big dinner.

Just thinking out loud.

I mentioned it's Spring Break didn't I?

Lord, give me strength.

It didn't seem much like Easter to us either, Brenda. But then we weren't having to be in charge of a church service.

Things were out of whack here also, so I can understand. In fact, Sat. night I thought about hiding eggs in the house, and seeing if I could find them in the morning. I decided that was a moot point since I can't even remember what I had for breakfast! :)

We just have to go with the flow, Ms. Brenda even when it hurts. (HUGS)

Spring Break - kids love it. The adults? I'm not so sure. Have a great week. I hope the weather is great.

I planted some pansies today. Spring is on it's way!

Good Afternoon Brenda,
Well it didn't seem like Easter here yesterday either. It was just me and the girls and they have outgrown the Easter Bunny thing. My Parents did come up for a little while yesterday afternoon. We don't buy the girls Easter Baskets anymore or even dye the eggs anymore. I do miss those days sometimes tho. Our girls went back to School today after being off for Spring Break last week. I'm sure you will find the strength to survive this week of Spring Break around your place. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

HAHAHAHA Sally!!
It was quiet here, but it was Easter in my heart. I watched the Passion of Christ on Friday night and we studied alot in Church and our small groups, had a Seder Feast last week, and got the "real" meaning Easter here. It really helps me with my brother's illness to get to reality.
Have a great Spring Break!! hehehehe

No Easter feelings here either. No more chocolate bunnies!! ANd Donna overslept so She did not get to go see Her brother with me. But Tim and I had a good visit. He wanted to go shopping but nothing was open! He was really bummed. But the daffodils were out and the rain was out, and the snow was out and the wind was out, so it felt like Easter!

It was a busy day for us, but the weather sure didn't feel like Easter...it was FREEZING...still in the 30's. Went out to eat and had a nice brunch. Even though my daughter is 22, I still do a basket for her and her boyfriend...just somethin' I still like to do. I'll never tire of baskets! Good luck on getting through Spring Break!!

Sorry things didn't work out the way you expected.

I wanted a good ol' bar-b-que pork sandwich, but it differs from region to region and it was lacking but time spent with family was good!

Have a great day!

In one of your previous posts you made the comment "I hate having to get dressed to go out in public" made me smile - because I am SO the same way. Its such a chore to make myself presentable, hee hee.
