Little Shopper

Zach and I met Jerri and Jillian at Pizza Hut for lunch today and then, after Jerri picked Alexis up from her play date, went to Wal Mart to pick up a few things we needed.

I was much impressed with how mature Alexis has become while shopping with her mom. I don't think she asked for one single thing the whole time we were in there except for some cucumbers. I finally told her she could pick out a prize and she chose a Brats book. I also bought her some seamless panties that we found because the child hates panties with seams. Zachary could take lessons from her cause he and I constantly argue about what, if anything, he can have, and I still often end up with several items at the checkout that weren't intended purchases.

Jillian is a serious little shopper. Groceries are mostly at the top of her mind's shopping list. She loaded up a huge pizza into Jerri's cart, while in mine she put her own bag of powdered donuts, and a couple little boxes of Valentine chocolates for her "dister" and herself. We'd told her she could pick out a new Strawberry Shortcake book and she did, plus 2 more. She also found a Strawberry Shortcake shirt that was just her size, I knew she was in love with it because she carried it all over the store.

We're back from shopping now, Zach and I stopped and got a few movies on the way home, James is gone on an overnight hunting trip with his brothers, so we've donned pjs, made hot drinks, and plan to snuggle down and stay warm this evening.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

Good Afternoon Brenda,
Sounds like yall had a good time shopping. I remember when our youngest daughter loved Strawberry Shortcake. Her favorite color is pink and still is. She has to have everything with pink in it. She has more pink clothes than anyone I have known. LOL. She is truly a girly girl. I hope you and Zach had a wonderful evening watching movies and having hot drinks. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

And, a good time was had by all. That's wonderful. I love to watch the little ones in the store to see what catches their eye. Cucumbers, that's way too funny. And, little Jillian with the shirt carrying it around. How cute is that!! :)

Are you going to be doing taxes this year or did you retire?

Sounded like a fun weekend even though I am not much of a shopper except for groceries. I do all the grocery shopping since I sort of enjoy it and the Spice doesn't care for it. And since she enjoys all the other types of shopping and I don't, I either drive her and stay in the vehicle or I stay home. Hope your weekend was as good as it started. ec
