Water and Pups

Water was almost in this person's house.

This was our road on Saturday afternoon. We went out for a few supplies in the big 3/4 ton farm truck.
This is just inside the Lexa city limits. I haven't seen water across the road here in about 35 years.

It rained.

And it rained.

And it rained some more.

I think we ended up with about 7 inches total, or thereabouts.

And Dempsey had puppies, which is the result of her escape with Tee back several weeks ago when they escaped out of their kennel and we looked for them for 3 days before we found them. We didn't know Dempsy was in heat but we began suspecting that she had been a month or so ago when she started looking like she was carrying a load of puppies.

Dempsey is a German Short hair pointer, the little chocolate brown puppies resemble her. The papa of the litter is unknown. Anyone want a puppy?

Oh, boy, I'll bet you were looking for the Ark! That's a lot of water. Hopefully the rain has stopped for now.
Cute pups! Good luck finding homes.

That is a lot of water! This has been a strange spring for weather...hot, then rainy...I say just give her a shot and she'll be fine...get it? I just came from Sally's so I'm feeling a little comical.

Cute, cute pups...I'm so thankful I don't live closer...this is my weak area!

Sounds like you guys are having the weather we just came from....in Georgia we had eight inches in two days! Couldn't believe how freakin' much it rained!!! Glad you were able to get out and get what you needed and that your house didn't get water! It's AWFUL when that happens. And the puppies are just so very cute!!! I would LOVE another puppy. My husband would have me committed.

And all that rain in your area has no where to go with all the flat land! Hope you stay dry and safe. We've got more coming this week, it looks like.

Love those cute little pups! But NO, we're done with our doggy days, thank you!

Oh dear, I feel sorry for anyone whose homes flooded because of all that rain you had! We've been having rain but nothing compared to you.

Those puppies are all so adorable, I wish I could take one:-) Now you know what Dempsey was up to when she was gone for a few days! LOL xoxo

I see this on the news and then worry it's heading to NC. I have flooded downstairs TWICE. The WHOLE downstairs. Anything more than 3 inches at a time? I panic.

The puppies are adorable!!!!!

Had the rain here, too. Lots and lots... but it wasn't raining cats and dogs like down your way. That's a lot of pups. I like someone's comment on FB wanting to know how many daddy s there were!!!

Holy cow on all that rain. Wish we could take some of it off your hands. We need some badly but just seem to be getting overcast right now. And wish I could take one of those puppies. They are just cute as can be!

We've had the rain too. It washed one of the roads by us. I had just drove through there less than an hour before it gave way -scary. I'm ready for some sunshine! Good luck with finding homes for the puppies!
