My first shot is a double wing one. There's one of the little hummers and you can see a pesky little wasp on the feeder.
This bad boy landed on my windshield while I when I stopped to check for critters to snap at the drainage ditch down the road from my house. Even through a dirty windshield, you can tell he's a stinger.
Here's Odie. I had to snap this with flash and in a hurry cause it seems that he's camera shy. The flash washed out his lovely green feathers. I'll keep trying to get a better shot of him since he's going to have to get over his fear of the camera while living in this house.
Shannon is our hostess for this challenge and she's chosen Things With Wings for the topic. You can go over to the challenge blog that Miz Donna was nice enough to do for us and click the comments for links to all the other participants. Go see em, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Great pictures! The wasper one is really creepy since I got stung this summer! I was dumbfounded how you did the shot until you gave the explanation, LOL.
That's a good assortment of wings you have there.

Now see, I was all impressed about the wasp, thinking, "How in the world did she get such a clear photo of the wasp in mid air?!" I couldn't tell it was sitting on glass!

Wow, Brenda! These are outstanding and I love the HB and the butterfly...absolutely wonderful!
WHOA - Ms. Brenda, you really outdid yourself this time around. They're ALL wonderful!! Love them each one equally. :)
Hallo Brenda, your things with wings are really cute! Enjoyed seeing them! The yellow butterfly is a real beauty! Thanks for coming over to my blog, too! Have a nice weekend!
I never heard of quaker parrots, but he's a good looking specimen. Do they talk much? Is he hand tame? What's his/her name?
I've always loved parrots. I gave up parrots about the same time I gave up horses. Both species are just impractical in the city.
I love your photographs, Brenda. You've found a creative outlet for which you have much talent. Congratulations.
You outdid yourself this time! What a great snap of the hummingbird and I am so in love with the yellow butterfly!!! Not so much with whatever that thing is on your windshield, but the shot is fantastic!
You may have to shoot the parrot in manual so the flash doesn't go off. that will prevent the color wash...ask me!!!Ha! Ha! That is what I am trying to learn!!!
Very cool pictures.
Have a good weekend - Kellan
Great photos! Butterfly is so pretty. Not a fan of things that sting but a cool shot. Have a great one!
I love the detail in your photos! They're all so sharp and colorful... even the shy bird!
I missed this challenge, but will try for the next one!

I am not a bird person but I am warming to Odie.
Wonderful pictures, especially the first two! Hope Odie learns to be a little less camera-shy for you!
Oh wow, I can't get over how clear your pictures are! We have wasps bothering the hummingbirds as well and I'm sure to the hummers they must look huge! lol Hope your weekend is going well my friend. xoxo
Fantastic photos. Love the butterfly and that wasp is an absolute corker. What a bad bay!
Sharon
