Just in a dumpy mood

Not a lot is going on here in the delta other than the usual chaos that is quite normal in this household.

I've been looking at Garden catalogs a lot, I guess cause I'm so danged ready for Spring to be sprung around these parts. I even placed an order for some dwarf tree/shrub cherries, veggie seeds, onion sets, and even a few perennials. Jami gave me a few crepe myrtle shrubs that she had removed from her yard and we planted them across the front of the property. I also plan to plant a fast growing tree where James cut down the mimosa that I loved so much (before it took a lightening hit).

James also planted some trees last week that arrived from the National Arbor Foundation that I contributed to awhile back. They're all flowering trees, I sure hope they all live.

I noticed this afternoon, as I was leaving to take the terrorist to Tah Kwan Do, that some of the early blooming bulbs are peeking out of the ground in a couple of spots. I'll go out and take a closer look tomorrow to see if there's a promise of a bud there.

The Chick has a birthday on Monday, can you believe she's going to be 5 already? She'll be starting kindergarten in August! I'm not too sure how that's going to go, I know she already knows as much as most of the teachers so there could be a little power struggle there. :-)

Oh Ms. Brenda, I'm longing for Spring also even though our winter has not been bad at all. I hope everything y'all have planted will grow and bloom and be lovely for you.

FIVE already? Whew! I can relate about the Chick knowing more than the teacher, haha. My little great niece, Ella's birthday falls in the wrong place; she was five last September but can't start kindergarten until NEXT year. She's in preK now and giving them fits 'cause she doesn't believe in naps. :) It's a joke around here that I'm the only one who ever made her take one. I mean, the child was worn out; I put her in the bed and told her in no uncertain terms she WAS stayin' there. After wailing a bit, she was sound asleep. :)

I'm ready for spring too. I'm trying to figure out where I can get me some seeds for herbs because I'm planting my own this year.

You'll have to take some pictures once you get everything planted so we can see! Time sure does fly fast these days don't they...One minute their babies and then the next their 34 and still living with their mommy and daddy, LOL!!! Have a good weekend!

Wow, 5! I knew she was close because Squirt's birthday is just around the corner, too.
Spring can't get here too soon for me.
