That Holiday's Over

Back to school tomorrow! (here's Nanaw doing a happy dance!) They're only going to be in school for 3 weeks and 3 days, out 2 half days, then out until Jan. 7th for Christmas holidays, so I don't have too long to prepare for ole Santa to visit.

I did put my tree up and it looked pretty nice but it just needed a little something.

Jerri and Bubbie and the chicklets came over, so Jerri, being one of the Martha Stewart Queens of the family, took some red ribbon I'd bought, some old flowers, and fixed it right up.

Looks rite purdy now, don't it?

Zach has two projects due on Friday for Science and Social Studies, it took a little persuasion, but I convinced him that he needed to finish them up this weekend because the week ahead is looking pretty full. Tomorrow night he and MeriKate have to be in a music performance, Tuesday night and Thursday night is Tae Kwon Do, and Saturday their MA tests. (it was supposed to have been a couple of weeks ago but the instructor keeps giving them extra time to work on their skills)

Here's his Food Chain for his Science project. (thank goodness for foam stickers and clipart).

I expect to be in a fairly grumpy mood tomorrow due to having to spend the entire day with James so I can assist him in the purchase of a farm truck. He's not buying a new one this time, we just lose so much the minute he drives one off the lot and onto the farm, so for the first time in years we're going through a bank. It seems to make a happy difference that the bank is owned by our insurance company cause the interest rate is about 2 % lower.

Ya'll pray that I don't end up in the slammer for murder due to the fact that we're not very compatible partners when conducting business.

Good Early Morning Brenda,
I'm just now getting around visiting and commenting. I was very busy today and didn't get to post. Hubby had to leave out late this afternoon and I had to wash clothes and I wanted to cook him a good meal before he left out. Then I cooked for the kids tonight. It has rained here all day. I love the new look of your tree. Definetly a Martha Stewart Tree. LOL. It does look good tho. My Mother has a white tree also. She has a humongous one also, but she only puts up the white one now. They don't make things good anymore like they used to. By the time you drive off the lot, the vehicle has done depreciated. They will find some way to get your money if they can. Well, take care my friend and have a great Monday. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

Ha! I sure can relate to the whole "not real good at conducting business together" thing!!! Oh. Can I!! Your daughter has talent...your tree looks absolutely beautiful!! She did a real nice job. Thanks for your good thoughts on my dad.

How beautiful Miss Brenda!!! Feels like Christmas in here!! Love white trees. Ribbons gave it that extra punch! Really, really pretty. Now I'm looking at mine...it also needs "something"! Have a fun day girl!

Your blog looks so festive and your very own Martha worked magic on the tree.
I am praying for your patience and hoping there are no firearms handy.

Oh my, it's a beautiful template. How did you change the background? I can't figure out how to do it in the new blogger. I must know!!! I want mine to snow too...whaaaaaaa!!

I love your tree. I was throwing around the idea of getting a new tree this year, and I think I might just get a white one, I love it.
