Pokey connection

Gripey, grumpy, Nanaw.

Danged HUGHESNET onsite support dude has been here today. This guy replaces the other guy who was here twice without resolving the problem, and I should have known not to have expected much from this dude, who got his van stuck in a ditch cause he didn't know how to turn around when he missed the turn onto our road which caused him to arrive a whole 1 1/2 hrs late, but a gal has to try to have a little expectation in her life, ya know?

Anyway, the other guy would at least put things back to the same ole slow connection before he disappeared off into the sunset without fixing the problem, this pony-tailed, paunchy, dude, couldn't fix the problem and left me without a connection at all! James was left in charge when I had to leave to take Zach to his MA class or else dude never would have left me dead in the water, even if it meant handcuffing him to the satellite pole! (can ya'll tell I'm trying not to curse in at least 2 languages here?)

So,,he told James he'd be back on Thursday, so the only connection I have with cyperspace is on Zach's laptop which has this iffy wireless connection that's mysterious as hell to me beings that I have no idea where it's coming from cause I don't have a router.

Ok, I'm done for the night. Ya'll have a wonderful evening!

Reminds me of the time the podunk cable dude picked up my new computer and started shaking it. Ack!

I'm also loving this new look. :)

My guess is that a neighbor has wireless and doesn't have it protected.

Good Afternoon Brenda,
Sorry you are having problems with your satellite system. I so hate it when they send someone out that doesn't know what they are doing and then they have to send someone else day's later. It's a pain in the butt for sure. If you live near a big tower, you maybe getting your power thru that. Heck, I don't know, I'm just guessing here. LOL. I'm far from being a computer whiz. When you have time, stop by. I have a couple of things for you there. You will have to scroll down to the second post because blogger was being ugly with me this morning. Take care my friend and have a great Wednesday. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

Brenda, you don't need a router to have an internet connection, just a wireless card in your computer and a wireless source for you to have access. Just saying...
I hope it all works out!!!
