Photo Challenge - Doorways

Thank you for the wonderful prompt for this challenge Miz Annie!

My first doorway is on that old barn that sits out in the field behind our house. I think it was built back in the 1940's or 50's and it's still standing, barely. I love old barns.

I snapped a couple of shots of this doorway because I notice the reflections in it every time I drive out of Helena heading west. It wasn't until I took this photo that I noticed that something must have happened here recently. That looks like some sort of patch on the bottom of the door.

This is the doorway leading to the entrance hall of the Pillow-Thompson House in Helena, AR. It was built by a well-to-do family who's ancestors donated it to the PCCC of the University of Arkansas in the 90's. There are quite a few old southern homes in Helena.
This view of the doorway leading into Estevan Hall, another historical home in Helena, is kind of spoiled by location of the camp chairs. Estevan was built in the 1826 and was occupied by the U.S. Army during the Civil War.

I think this used to be an old school building. I thought the steps that lead to a darkened doorway was interesting. I'll have to find out for sure what this building was.

This doorway leads into St. Marys Catholic Church in Helena, AR which was built in 1936. I think of all the doorways that I've seen in my life, church doorways are my favorites.

I was thinking the burnt out door was going to be my favorite until I scrolled down and saw the door to the Estevan House. Isn't it gorgeous? All that glass! I usually like the big carved wood doors, but that one is so pretty. I thought the door with the questionable bottom was one of those metal foot plates at first, but You're right... something happened. Great doors, Brenda. Have a great weekend!!!

I love the doors of the old historical houses the best! Such great architecture and character! Super job on the challenge!

LOL, I hadn't seen the photo effect before with the taped corners. Way cool!

Your doors are wonderful. Each one has its own unique beauty, including the old barn. I am fascinated by the Estevan Hall door; I do not believe I've ever seen anything like it.

Looks like we all like that Estevan doorway...I think it is because there is a verandah there too...for me...is that what Americans would say..or should it be porch perhaps?

And the last photo was good too, though I did enjoy them all!

Thanks Brenda! Annie.

Hi!
Those are some beautiful doors! I really like the Estevan Hall door. That beautiful front porch, the only thing missing is a rocking chair or a set of cane chairs. Thanks for stopping by my place. Have a great weekend!

What a great idea for the photo challenge. I can't wait to have the time to "play" again...I really like the doorways you have chosen, they just have a mysterious appeal to them making me want to explore their interiors.

Once I got past loving the taped corners...I thoroughly "ahhhhed" over the doors!

I want to sit on the Pillow-Thompson front poor and have it be mine.

I'd love to have new photos of Estevan Hall! I've only gotten shots of it from the street in front. It's a beautiful house!

P.S. That picture of the school is the former high school. Amazing theater on the 3rd floor but I don't think it's remotely safe to go up in there anymore. I explored 7 years ago before it deteriorated to the point it is in now.
