My Mom

She's been gone 7 years now and I miss her every day. She was too young to pass away so soon, but life was hard on her. She would only be 68 years old now had she lived. Sometimes life just isn't fair.

Your mom was a beautiful lady. I know how you feel, mine passed away six years this June.

But, you carry on as a good mom yourself, and a great NaNaw to those beautiful grandchildren.

You have a great day Brenda, I get to cook a turkey and make stuffing and banana bread, so my son in law and daughter will come over and mow my yard for me. WHEE

I think you just have to appreciate every day that they were around. Tomorrow could be the end for any of us. You're a wonderful lady, Brenda, and I'm sure she is still proud of you!! Happy Mother's Day!!

Aren't those old photos great? I have found tons of them cleaning out my MIL's house.

Hope your day was special.

what beautiful old photos.

my grandfather brought of pictures of himself when he was a child (he's 80) and of his parents and the house they lived in... beautiful, poignant, amazing.

What beautiful photos those are.

Your mom and mine must have passed the same year. But, my mom was 81.

I'm sorry you didn't have her for longer than you did.

I hope you had a great Mom's Day!!

You're right. Life isn't fair, but most of us have a wonderful life however long it is.

And mothers bring sunshine and care into their childrens lives, even if they don't realise it all the time.

We hope YOU had a great Mothers Day too!

Oh and they are LOVELY pictures!

Brenda, my mom was only 61 when she died, too, and I was 35 at the time...I lost her 2 weeks before Mother's Day in 1989. Even now Mother's Day is still bittersweet for me but easier each year. And now I have my little grandson...life is so sweet. I hope Mother's Day was a GOOD day for you, anyway...take care, my friend.
