After the onions were all in the ground, the girls moved over to the turnip patch to pull a bunch up to take to their other granny's house. You can see PopPop still over there in the potato and onion patch in the background. The wind broke the pole on our Martin house so that still needs repairing. The baskets scattered around behind the girls will support the tomatoes after they're planted in a few weeks.
There was a little tree climbing going on after the gardening was done.

Oh I can't wait to get started planting outdoors! I'm waiting on my husband to get tiller tuned up so we can finish breaking up the garden spot. Maybe next weekend we can work on it...

There's just nothing like having those youngun's around!! I know they love coming to your house. I'm glad it was nice enough weather for them to be outside to 'work' and play!! :)
I loved today's weather. So nice after the ice storm. Fried taters and onions...can all most taste them.

Nice! No planting here for a while yet. Although it's supposed to be 70 degrees tomorrow, with some rain.
Well....it sure looks nice at your place!! We got to nearly FORTY today. Sigh. I can't wait for it to warm up just a little!! Home grown stuff is the best. I miss having a vegetable garden. Enjoyed the pictures.....is that your dog there...the big guy??
"taters and onions" a sure staple around here, but I bet they taste extra delicious with little hands having helped plant them...I can't wait for our frost days to be over so I can dig in the dirt.

The girls look like they're having a good time. I'm envious of your warm weather. We're having a warmer week here, but it'll be a long time till we se 67 degrees!
