Southern Exposure

Dang it's been cold,  I even have icicles dangling down from my roof and it's not often that we see such as that in my little spot in the Mississippi River delta.  Don't get me wrong, real Winter happens occasionally here.  I remember having a really big snow, 12 inches or more, back when I was a kid and every other year or so we'll get a couple of inches.  A couple of years ago we had a 7 inch snow to welcome Spring. But this year it's been cold since November and we've had two substantial snows and a couple of dustings. This morning when James left to go down to the farm for a few he said the temps were -6!! And since this is Arkansas weather, where it can snow in the morning and be warm enough for shorts in the afternoon,  wouldn't you know, the temps are supposed to be up near 70 by Monday!

I sit in a blind with lots of feeders around me to catch those birds. It takes patience in the cold , but well worth it.It was 37 when I went out and 29 coming home 2 hours later.

You know, Ms Brenda, I can't even begin to imagine what that's like for you folks. I do believe though it's been so different this winter everywhere, as far as I can tell. We don't get anything like you, but for a while there we had freezes every night for about two weeks. Now it's off and on with the temps up and down. Come on SPRING, I'm ready too!! Take care, stay safe and warm. :)

This winter has been so cold. We missed the big snow they were promising us this week-thank goodness. I'm looking forward to much warmer weather.

That's just all wrong to see that white stuff in Arkansas! Our neice lives down there and they've had so much they've had trouble getting up their drive. RYC: No, sadly no chocolate covered cherries. I love those too! Godiva has the most awesome ones and have you tried Dove's Valentine chocolates with cherry swirl? Delicious!

Oh my. It's been cold up here in NC too but I haven't seen any icicles. We are all just waiting for Spring aren't we? Then next, we'll be complaining it's too hot LOL

((hugs))
