Miz Donna's Photo Challenge. Layering Textures.

I had a reminder about Miz Donna's Photo Challenge: Layering Textures so I took several deep breaths and decided that this might be a good way to slowly get back into the blogging mode.

So, here goes. I hope my attempts are ok.  I chose to use two photos that I took a week ago.

original photo

Autumn leaves using a cracked texture in Perfect Effects 3.

Autumn Thistle after using the Earth texture effect from Perfect Effects 3.

I always enjoy these photo challenges and wish to say thank you to Miz Donna for hosting them.

I'm so glad that you can join in on our photo fun, Miz Brenda! You did a lovely job with these! And you show how different textures can alter the overall mood. In the first one, there is more contrast and punch, and in the second one, it's more dreamy and soft.

I keep forgetting about Perfect Effects, so I appreciate this reminder. I have it on my computer, but I haven't played around with it much. So it's getting added to my "to do" list!

That thistle looks fantastic...my eyes not being what they once were I don't see the difference in the first set, but oh that thistle.

Yes the thistle change is more dramatic and very effective change. Like them both though!

Hello Brenda
Firstly I just LOve your blog header - beautiful rose with the light shining through!

Your thistle photo is great - the layer of texture you used gave it an effect like cotton wool - gorgeous!
Enjoy your Sunday
