I had a reminder about M
iz Donna's Photo Challenge: Layering Textures so I took several deep breaths and decided that this might be a good way to slowly get back into the blogging mode.
So, here goes. I hope my attempts are ok. I chose to use two photos that I took a week ago.

I'm so glad that you can join in on our photo fun, Miz Brenda! You did a lovely job with these! And you show how different textures can alter the overall mood. In the first one, there is more contrast and punch, and in the second one, it's more dreamy and soft.
ReplyDeleteI keep forgetting about Perfect Effects, so I appreciate this reminder. I have it on my computer, but I haven't played around with it much. So it's getting added to my "to do" list!
wow. what a gorgeous photo treatment here. it made your photos more interesting.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I love the thistle.
ReplyDeleteThat thistle looks fantastic...my eyes not being what they once were I don't see the difference in the first set, but oh that thistle.
ReplyDeleteYes the thistle change is more dramatic and very effective change. Like them both though!
ReplyDeleteAdd me to the thistle fan club! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt really is a dramatic effect! Great job!
Love the thistle. This was a great challenge.
ReplyDeleteVery nice effects. The thistles appear more interesting with the Earth texture.
ReplyDeleteLove them!!

Great photos- love the softened effect on the thistles. It really does alter the mood of the photo...
ReplyDeleteI loved the cracked texture...what a difference it made. It looks like a find painting! You did great on the challenge!
ReplyDeleteLovely to hear from you, I enjoyed your photos.
ReplyDeleteHello Brenda
ReplyDeleteFirstly I just LOve your blog header - beautiful rose with the light shining through!
Your thistle photo is great - the layer of texture you used gave it an effect like cotton wool - gorgeous!
