Prouder than a Peacock.

A short while ago C.M. Van Vleet left a comment on my blog asking me if I'd be interested in representing Arkansas in her 50 U.S. Blogs project. (ya'll might have noticed the little link icon over to the left there). I hesitated for about 3 seconds before accepting the honor after going over to take a look, and now, for the past couple of days, I've been compiling a State of Address entry for the
50 U.S. Blogs site to be posted sometime this year. I'll be sure to post the entry or put a link here when my entry appears. In the meanwhile, ya'll could browse the links posted ovah there and read about the representatives of the other states in our grand old country.

Since I had first, a windowless truck, and then NO truck due to it being in the shop, and then yesterday, a dead ass, I have avoided making the weekly trip to do the grocery shopping. Today that must be done or there'll be a riot around this household cause I'm out of most of the basics needed in meal preparation and there is no meat to speak of in the freezer.

I reckon I'd best get moving to get this chore done if I want to have a peaceful evening later on but I'll leave this for ya'll to smile about cause it's so TRUE in my case.

Ilove that cleaning list. I need to do some computer cleaning myself. Especially my keyboard. I wonder if there's a way to take one apart and clean it.
I'll be looking forward to reading your entry over at 50 state blogs!

Thank you always_adventuring for inviting me!

I did just that Miz Sally, bad as I hated to spend that money.

As well as shaking the keyboard upside down occasionally I use canned air and q-tips a lot Miz Wanda

My grandma used to do that KB and it's funny but I was a full grown woman before I ever put 2 and 2 together and figured out that those fantastic fried chicken dinners were made with the same bird that had been running all over the yard headlessly slinging blood. I reckon that was a good thing else I'd have become a vegetarian. (grin)

Congrats on your inclusion in the 50 Blog thing, and isn't there someone else around there you could send to do the shopping? As long as you're cooking, I'd just say with no food, no meals. They'd make it to the store quick enough.

Seriously, I know your pain. Great cartoon.

LOL too funny about the chicken....we once slaughtered a hog and had some damn good sausage and a friend of mine vomited after breakfast when told it was the same hog she helped me feed the week before!!!! we are country folk round these here parts!

When I walked into the grocery store today the old man in the produce aisle laughed at me. He said "guess you ain't got sense to get out of the rain"

I said, well, actually, I'd rather get soaking damn wet any day of the week than deal with 3 starving hollering youngsters and no food in the house.

He was taken aback.

I went forth and shopped today. Brought home mass quantities of food. Honestly, it won't last nearly long enough.

How neat is that? Good for you. Now you KNOW it is the womans responsibility to keep that house packed with food.......

But "that's what he married me for" TW. His words, not mine!!

Nannie No truer list was ever made. It suits me. (grin)

I refused to eat my pet pig, anonymous, I wised up to that a long time before I did the chickens! LOL

Doncha just hate having to haul a load of groceries in the rain Holly?

Pig and Taz I'll earn a cleaning woman when I get that 40 room mansion high atop that hill! (wishing)

So he tells me, David. But I'd still like to see the rule book that came out of!
